As Director of Financial Planning, Al Campbell is responsible for financial analysis to support corporate strategy and decision making. He oversees performance forecasting, acquisition and disposition analysis, the annual budget process, market research and portfolio planning.

A 14-year veteran of the finance industry, Mr. Campbell was hired in 1998 as Manager of External Reporting, responsible for all external and SEC reporting for the company. In 1998, Mr. Campbell was promoted to Vice President of Financial Planning and began serving in various other roles with the company, including corporate forecasting and investor relations. In 2002, Mr. Campbell began providing acquisition and disposition analysis in coordination with joint venture partners and portfolio planning for the company. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2003.

Prior to joining MAA, he was the Manager of External Reporting at Thomas & Betts and a public accountant with Arthur Anderson serving as an auditor on numerous large public corporations. Mr. Campbell graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors of Professional Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant.
